Fall protection plans and equipment/systems reviews

  • Development of multiple fall protection programs and equipment reviews for wide variety of commercial properties.

  • A formal review of procedures used in accessing bridges was carried out for a large city.  It included reviewing in place access equipment as well as fall protection equipment available for bridge crew workers. 

Industrial ventilation reviews and engineering

  • A review of all technical shop exhaust systems was completed at a large British Columbia school district.

  • Review of the exhaust and ventilation systems at a maintenance shop to determine the effectiveness and compliance with standards.  These systems included exhaust for painting facilities, automotive and mechanical repair.

Equipment maintenance procedures

  • Development of preventative maintenance procedures for over 100 pieces of manufacturing equipment.  Procedures were entered into a preventative maintenance database. 

Hazardous building materials surveys and assessments

  • Collect samples of building materials suspected of containing asbestos and have them analyzed for content.  Provide advice on procedures and contractor work required for the removal of the material determined to contain asbestos.

  • Asbestos survey for a local library prior to redevelopment.  Samples collected, submitted for analysis and a recommended scope of work with a preliminary abatement budges was provided.

  • Review of asbestos presence at a suburban shopping centre and development of scope of work for removal programs.  Inspections and air monitoring during removal activities.

  • Completion of asbestos prioritization assessments for all civic buildings for a greater Vancouver municipality

Compressed gases

  • Review of compressed gas usage, including all aspects of storage, handling, usage, transportation and training for a BC municipal district

Emergency response

  • Completion of an assessment of emergency response capabilities at a pulp mill for all varieties of mill emergencies.
